WIMG Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using WIMG at wimg.net, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree with any provision of these terms, please discontinue use of WIMG immediately. These terms govern your relationship with the entity operating WIMG, identified in the WIMG Impressum, and they apply on every visit to every page of WIMG, including the editor itself, every static page, every tool, and every translated page.

1. Nature of Service

WIMG is a browser-native creative application that loads into your browser tab from wimg.net and executes entirely on your local device. WIMG offers tools across fifteen categories covering selection and snapping, transformation, path operations, drawing and shapes, generative and pattern tools (including L-systems, Voronoi tessellations, Penrose tilings, sacred geometry constructions, reaction-diffusion patterns, Celtic knots, mandalas, phyllotaxis spirals, Truchet tiles, wallpaper symmetry groups, guilloché ornaments, and the equation plotter), typography with convert-to-outlines, raster and image tools, filters, three-dimensional visualization (polytope-iso, polytope-front, extrapolate-3d in cabinet and dimetric projection), fills and effects, brushes and libraries, data tools, grids and measurement, symmetry and alignment, and canvas navigation. WIMG exports to SVG, PNG, WebP, JPEG, EPS, and project JSON. All drawing, editing, transforming, filtering, generating, three-dimensional visualization, text outlining, image tracing, and exporting executes locally inside your web browser through client-side JavaScript. The WIMG server delivers the application code, the stylesheets, the fonts, the icon assets, and the translated content of every page. The role of the WIMG server ends at delivery. The artwork you draw, the files you import, the paths you trace, the parameters you adjust, the patterns you generate, and the files you export remain on your device throughout every session.

2. As-Is Provision

WIMG is provided strictly on an "AS IS", "WHERE IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all faults and defects, whether known or unknown, visible or hidden. The entity operating WIMG expressly disclaims all representations and warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, completeness, currentness, and freedom from errors, defects, interruptions, or other harmful components. WIMG serves as a convenience tool. WIMG output serves as a starting point for human review, professional judgment, and independent verification.

3. No Warranties

No advice, information, code, asset, or material obtained from WIMG shall create any warranty. The entity operating WIMG does not warrant that WIMG will meet your specific requirements, that WIMG will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis, that the WIMG editor will produce identical visual results across every browser, every browser version, every device, every operating system, every display, every printer, and every locale, that the WIMG generative algorithms (L-systems, Voronoi tessellations, Penrose tilings, reaction-diffusion simulations, sacred geometry constructions, phyllotaxis spirals, guilloché rosettes, Truchet tile mazes, mandala rosettes, equation plotters, and similar generators) will produce mathematically certified output suitable for academic publication, that WIMG three-dimensional projections will conform to engineering-grade isometric, orthographic, cabinet, or dimetric standards, that SVG, PNG, WebP, JPEG, or EPS exports written by WIMG will render identically in every downstream viewer, browser, printer, RIP, prepress workflow, or design application, that WIMG image tracing will produce vector results conforming to any specific tolerance, that WIMG text outlining will preserve every kerning, hinting, or OpenType feature of the source font, that translations into languages other than English will be free from linguistic, terminological, or cultural inaccuracy, or that any defects in WIMG will be identified or corrected.

4. Rendering, Calculation, and Algorithmic Accuracy Disclaimer

WIMG executes vector math, raster pixel operations, generative geometry algorithms, three-dimensional projections, filter convolutions, color conversions, and file format encoders using JavaScript arithmetic running inside your web browser. JavaScript arithmetic operates under the IEEE 754 double-precision floating-point standard, which carries inherent limitations including rounding error, precision loss, representation imprecision for numbers that cannot be expressed finitely in binary, and accumulation of small errors across chained operations. Path simplification, bezier flattening, boolean pathfinder operations, offset paths, mesh deformation, perspective projection, and shape-builder operations each apply algorithmic approximations whose tolerances may differ from those of professional desktop applications.

The accuracy of any individual rendering, conversion, transformation, or export produced by WIMG depends on your browser's JavaScript engine, your browser's Canvas API implementation, your browser's SVG renderer, your device's processing environment, your operating system's font subsystem, your display's color profile, your printer driver where printing applies, and the appropriateness of any chosen WIMG tool, preset, or parameter to the specific situation. Professional applications requiring certified, audited, manufacturing-grade, or guaranteed dimensional, geometric, or visual accuracy should employ dedicated, independently validated tools appropriate to the specific framework, standard, or regulation governing the use case.

5. Assumption of Risk

You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of WIMG is entirely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for all consequences arising from your use of WIMG, including any reliance on artwork, exports, vectorizations, generative patterns, three-dimensional projections, technical drawings, dimension annotations, hatch patterns, traced paths, outlined typography, or any other output produced by WIMG for publication, brand identity, product packaging, manufacturing, prototyping, patent illustration, trademark application, regulatory submission, legal exhibit, medical figure, architectural presentation, engineering documentation, or any other purpose. You agree to independently verify every export, every dimension, every traced result, every outlined character, and every generated pattern produced by WIMG before relying on the result for any consequential decision.

6. Scope of Intended Use

WIMG serves as a general-purpose creative utility for informational, design, planning, and convenience purposes. WIMG provides the canvas, the geometry, the filters, the typography, the generative algorithms, and the working exports. The decisions that follow the output belong to the people who own them.

WIMG is unsuitable as the sole tool, or as the sole source of geometric or visual accuracy, in connection with any of the following:

• Manufacturing, fabrication, CNC machining, laser cutting, waterjet cutting, 3D printing, injection molding, die cutting, and any production workflow where dimensional precision, tolerance compliance, or material safety carries monetary, contractual, regulatory, or physical-safety consequence. Production workflows require CAD systems with certified geometric kernels, audited tolerance handling, and material-specific output formats.
• Architectural construction documents, structural drawings, MEP coordination, permit submissions, and building-code compliance plans, where dimensional accuracy, drawing conventions, and stamped professional review are required.
• Patent illustration filings, trademark application artwork, and registered design submissions where the accepted artwork specification of the relevant patent office, trademark registry, or design registry must be met. WIMG output may serve as draft material, but the final filing requires verification against the specific registry's formatting, resolution, color, and format requirements.
• Medical illustration intended for diagnostic use, clinical decision support, surgical guidance, or pharmaceutical labeling, where regulatory frameworks and clinical oversight govern accuracy and presentation.
• Aviation, maritime, rail, automotive, aerospace, and transportation safety documentation, signage, and labeling, where regulatory standards govern legibility, color, dimension, and survivability.
• Forensic exhibit preparation, evidentiary scene diagrams, and litigation visual aids where chain-of-custody, methodology disclosure, and certified accuracy are required.
• Cartography for navigation, emergency response, and regulatory survey where geodetic accuracy, projection certification, and authoritative data provenance are required.
• Currency, banknote, security document, identification document, certificate, and anti-counterfeiting artwork where statutory frameworks govern design, reproduction, and distribution. The presence in WIMG of guilloché generators, microtext styling, and ornamental rosette tools does not authorize, endorse, or invite any use that would infringe statutes governing currency, securities, or official documents in any jurisdiction.
• Election materials, ballots, and official government publications where statutory specifications govern visual standards.
• Pharmaceutical packaging, food labeling, hazard pictograms, and consumer-product warning labels where statutory pictogram standards (including ISO 7010, GHS, and equivalents) govern shape, color, and content.
• Any application where a rendering inaccuracy, dimension error, missing path, misplaced anchor, color-shift, or export artifact could result in personal injury, loss of life, monetary loss, regulatory penalty, contractual breach, professional liability, or legal liability.

You bear sole responsibility for determining whether WIMG is appropriate for your intended use, and for selecting validated, certified, or professionally maintained tools whenever the consequences of an inaccurate output are significant.

7. Your Content and the Boundary of WIMG's Responsibility

Because WIMG's privacy-first software architecture makes every drawing, editing, generation, transformation, filtering, three-dimensional visualization, image-trace, text-outline, and export operation entirely inside your browser on your own device, the entity operating WIMG has no technical means to view, intercept, copy, retain, redistribute, sublicense, train AI systems on, or otherwise access any artwork you create, import, trace, or export through WIMG. This architectural condition is described in detail on the About WIMG page and the WIMG Privacy Policy, and it can be verified in real time by any visitor through the browser developer tools Network panel.

As a direct consequence of this architecture, you bear sole and exclusive responsibility for the content you choose to load into, draw inside, generate within, trace through, edit through, or export from WIMG. You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and clearances for every image, photograph, font, vector file, pattern, texture, raster source, reference material, and any other content you bring into the WIMG editor for any operation, including but not limited to image-tracing of imported raster artwork, color sampling from imported references, outlining of fonts whose license terms permit outline conversion, and embedding of placed images into your design.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the entity operating WIMG, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, contributors, licensors, successors, and assigns, shall bear no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including damages for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, artwork, design files, business opportunity, deal value, brand identity, manuscript content, manufactured goods, prototyped objects, printed products, filed applications, professional reputation, or any other tangible or intangible loss, arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use WIMG, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, warranty, or otherwise, and regardless of whether the entity operating WIMG has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions where complete exclusion of liability is not permitted, the total aggregate liability of the entity operating WIMG for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the use of WIMG shall not exceed one euro (€1.00).

9. Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the entity operating WIMG, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, contributors, licensors, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of WIMG, your reliance on any artwork, export, vectorization, generative pattern, three-dimensional projection, or other output produced by WIMG, any content you load into or process through WIMG, any third-party intellectual property right (including copyrights, trademarks, design rights, font license terms, patent rights, publicity rights, and privacy rights) that your input or output may infringe, any consequence of an inaccurate, incomplete, or misinterpreted WIMG result for any purpose whatsoever, your violation of these Terms and Conditions, your violation of any applicable law or regulation, and any dispute between you and any third party relating to artwork created with or processed through WIMG. This indemnification obligation survives the termination of these Terms and Conditions and your cessation of use of WIMG.

10. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for verifying that any artwork, export, vectorization, generative pattern, three-dimensional projection, traced result, outlined typography, dimensioned drawing, or other output produced by WIMG meets your specific requirements before relying on the result for any purpose. You are solely responsible for selecting the correct WIMG tool, the correct mode within that tool, the correct parameters, the correct export format, the correct color profile interpretation, and the appropriate level of precision for your situation. You are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of every WIMG artwork through the WIMG project JSON export, the SVG export, or any other export format you choose, and you accept that browser local storage used by WIMG autosave can be cleared by your browser, your operating system, your administrator, an extension, a private-browsing session, a cache clear, a device reset, or a browser update at any time and without notice. You are solely responsible for confirming that every font you outline through WIMG is licensed for outline conversion under the terms of the relevant font license. You are solely responsible for confirming that every image you import, trace, color-sample, or embed is held by you under rights or permissions sufficient for the operation you perform inside WIMG. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of WIMG complies with all laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction. You agree to use WIMG only for lawful purposes and only in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1. WIMG Holds Zero Rights Over Your Work

WIMG claims zero rights, licenses, sublicenses, or ownership interest of any kind over any artwork you create, draw, import, trace, generate, edit, transform, filter, outline, three-dimensionally project, or export through WIMG. Your copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, design patents, registered designs, moral rights, publicity rights, and every other intellectual property right in your work remain entirely and exclusively with you, before every WIMG session, during every WIMG session, and after every WIMG session. The architectural condition that makes this position absolute is described in detail on the About WIMG page and the WIMG Privacy Policy: WIMG has no technical mechanism to access, copy, store, transmit, redistribute, sublicense, or train AI systems on your content, because no such mechanism exists anywhere in the WIMG application code.

11.2. WIMG's Own Intellectual Property

The WIMG application itself, including the WIMG name, the WIMG brand marks, the WIMG logos, the visual design of the WIMG editor, the source code of the WIMG application, the architecture of the WIMG tool palette, the names and structures of the WIMG tools, the WIMG generative algorithms as implemented for WIMG, the WIMG textual content on every page, the WIMG SEO metadata, the WIMG translation databases, and all associated intellectual property remain the exclusive property of the entity identified in the WIMG Impressum or its respective licensors. These Terms and Conditions grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use WIMG for personal, professional, commercial, and non-commercial creative purposes in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Artwork, vectors, rasters, SVG files, PNG files, WebP files, JPEG files, EPS files, project JSON files, and any other output you generate through WIMG using your own input remain your own under your own applicable rights, and WIMG claims no ownership over your generated output. Reproducing, redistributing, reverse-engineering, framing, mirroring, scraping, or creating derivative works from the WIMG application, source code, visual assets, or branding requires express written permission from the entity operating WIMG. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

12. Third-Party Resources

WIMG may load stylesheets, scripts, fonts, and icon assets from third-party content delivery networks. These third-party services operate under their own respective terms, licenses, and privacy policies, which are managed independently by those third parties. The entity operating WIMG assumes no responsibility for the practices, availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party resource. Your use of any third-party resource loaded by WIMG, and your access to any third-party website linked from any WIMG page, is governed by the terms established by those respective providers.

13. Prohibited Uses

You shall not use WIMG for any purpose that is unlawful, infringing, or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. Without limitation, you agree not to use WIMG to create, edit, trace, generate, or export:

• Artwork that infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade dress, design right, patent, or other intellectual property right of any third party.
• Artwork depicting, promoting, or facilitating the exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors in any form.
• Artwork intended to defraud, deceive, or mislead any person or entity, including counterfeit currency, counterfeit banknotes, counterfeit securities, counterfeit identification documents, counterfeit certificates, and counterfeit official seals.
• Artwork that facilitates identity theft, forgery, or any criminal activity.
• Artwork that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination against any individual or group on the basis of any protected characteristic.
• Artwork prohibited by the law of your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction in which the output is published, distributed, or displayed.

Because WIMG operates entirely client-side and has no mechanism to observe, log, intercept, or moderate your creative activity, the responsibility for compliance with this clause rests entirely with you, and the indemnification obligation in Section 9 applies in full.

14. Service Continuity and Modifications

The entity operating WIMG reserves the right, at sole discretion, to modify, update, suspend, limit, or permanently discontinue WIMG, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without prior notice. The entity operating WIMG may add, remove, rename, restructure, or change the behavior of tools, filters, generative algorithms, presets, supported languages, export formats, and pages of WIMG at any time. The entity operating WIMG bears no obligation to maintain, support, update, archive, or continue providing WIMG or any specific version of WIMG. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of every artwork that matters to you through WIMG's project JSON export and through any other export format you prefer.

15. Modification of Terms

The entity operating WIMG reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version is always published at the canonical URL for the WIMG Terms and Conditions page. Continued use of WIMG following any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms and Conditions periodically.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the entity operating WIMG is registered, as identified in the WIMG Impressum, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or your use of WIMG shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction. Where mandatory consumer protection law applies in your country of residence, those protections remain unaffected by these Terms and Conditions.

17. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make the provision valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent. Failure by the entity operating WIMG to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision or any other provision at any future time.

18. Force Majeure

The entity operating WIMG shall bear no liability for any failure or delay in the availability or performance of WIMG resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, power failures, internet outages, content-delivery-network failures, browser-vendor changes, cyberattacks, and failures of third-party infrastructure.

19. Translations

WIMG is published in many languages as a courtesy to visitors around the world. These Terms and Conditions of WIMG may be made available in languages other than English through translated versions of this page. The English-language version published at the canonical WIMG Terms and Conditions URL is the authoritative version. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, ambiguity, or inconsistency between the English-language version and any translated version of these Terms and Conditions, the English-language version shall prevail and govern in all respects.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the WIMG Privacy Policy and the WIMG Impressum, constitute the entire agreement between you and the entity operating WIMG regarding your use of WIMG, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements, whether oral or written.
